You know those moments in the summer when the kids are “bored”. Or, when the rain is tipping down. Or, when you can’t bring yourself to let them spend one more minute on their devices. Well, those are all great times to bring out these free printable word games.

We have created 3 great printable summer games for kids to play. I’m a huge fan of word games. I grew up devouring word search games. So, I’ve made a fun summer word search game for kids. All you have to do is print off the game and the kids can search around the letters for the summer-themed words. Don’t forget to print the summer word search game answers. Always good to have the answers on hand, in case you get stuck.
Next up is our Summer Word Jumble Game for Kids. Word jumbles are great for older kids to play with. Can they unscramble all the summery words? If you want to make things more challenging, set a timer and see how many words they can successfully unjumble in a set amount of time. Again, we also have the summer word jumble answer sheet.
Finally, we have the printable summer crossword puzzle for kids. I love a good crossword puzzle. This one includes a series of questions and fill in the blanks the kids have to answer to find the words that fit in the puzzle. Here’s a hint, I’ve included pictures of the answers too! All of these printable summer word games are perfect for the classroom. We all know the kids can get distracted at the end of the school year, so why not pass around these games to keep the kids engaged. They also make a fun addition to any road trip. Bring along a clipboard and a pencil and pull the word games out when the kids start asking “are we there yet?”
