Why make would you rather questions for kindergarten?

The answer is quite simple: I've heard from YOU that this is what you really, really want. Would you rather questions are a great addition to the kindergarten classroom at school or in your homeschool. They can be used as a Question A Day exercise for students. They are fun to discuss during circle time. The kids will enjoy chatting about their choices. A fun way to get the kids to open up in the class.

Why make would you rather questions with pictures?

Again, YOU really, really wanted pictures. Now, I know I'm calling this an edition for kindergarten, but the use of pictures means these would you rather questions are versatile for all ages and stages of kids. Pictures open up the opportunity for those students who are not independently reading to play along. I have kept the text simple and the images clear. The questions all include relevant choices that children will be able to discuss. I love an activity that everyone can participate in!

laminator - optional

The first step is to print our would you rather questions for kids with pictures. The pictures are in full colour, but they still work if printed in black and white. I prefer to print all of our would you rather questions on cardstock. Using heavier paper, like cardstock, helps the question strips last longer. After all, little hands will be holding the cards.

If you have access to a laminator, I would suggest laminating a copy to keep for yourself. A laminated set of questions can last for years.

How to use would you rather questions for kids

There are so many different ways to use our would you rather questions. We've already discussed how to use them in a classroom setting, but we find fun ways to play at home. Tuck a question a day into your child's lunch box. They can debate the questions with their friends over lunch break.

I keep a copy (or two) in our car's glove box and pull out the questions on a long road trip. When everyone starts to get a little bored, start asking would you rather questions and see how the discussions go.

These questions are great conversation starters. Pull out the questions at dinner or place one question card at each person's place setting at your next family dinner party. Grandma and Grandpa will enjoy debating their answers with their grandkids!

How do you play with our would you rather questions? Leave a comment and let me know!
