New Year's Eve bookmarks to color printed out with title and fireworks background

Here's another fun free printable activity for your New Year's Eve party. We've created 4 different New Year's Eve bookmarks to color. We've shared a fun New Year's Eve would you rather questions and NYE word games, this time around I thought it would be fun to pull out the pencil crayons.

I don't know about you, but typically we spend New Year's Eve cozy and warm in our house. No big parties and we definitely haven't spent NYE at the club in decades. Gathering at home with our family and maybe some close friends and family is out ideal way to ring in the new year. Playing games and listening to music is usually how we spend the evening. So, this set of New Year's bookmarks is the perfect activity.

double-sided tape

The first step is to print our New Year's bookmarks. I like to print ours on white cardstock. I find the heavier weight of the paper means the colors look brighter and the bookmarks are more durable. However, if you don't have any cardstock go ahead and use regular printer paper. Whatever you have on hand with work.

Once the bookmarks are printed, if you are coloring with a crowd you may want to cut the bookmarks into 4 bookmarks. I've created 4 designs that celebrate different parts of the new year.

I love the disco ball, countdown bookmark. I know my daughter will want to color the New Year! New Books to Read! bookmark...she's a big reader. Everyone can choose which bookmark they'd like to color.

Once the bookmarks are printed and cut out it's time to bring on the color. When I do coloring pages I love to pop on a good playlist and sink into the coloring. There are so many great playlists on Spotify - what about listening to everyone's end of year Wrapped playlists?! That's a fun idea!

When all the coloring is done there is one more step I always take when making my bookmarks. I like to add another layer of colorful cardstock to the bookmark. I use double-sided tape to adhere the colored sheet to the bookmark. Cut a small border of color all the way around the bookmark.

You could totally use markers or glitter glue to add some sparkle to your bookmarks. Get creative and have fun with these. When you're done pop them inside the first book you read in the new year!
