Books are my absolute favorite gift to give, especially to kids. What goes best with a new book - a new bookmark, of course. I've made all kinds of fun bookmarks for kids to color and printable bookmarks it was only a matter of time before I created the cutest printable Christmas bookmarks to color for kids (and adults too).

Every Christmas my kids receive all kinds of books. They always know when they find a gift that is from Rudolph it is going to be a new book. Side note: do your kids get gifts from the reindeer? Rudolph always likes to tuck a new bookmark into at least one of their books. After all, no one wants to turn down the corner of a brand new book.

Over the years I have come to hold a real affection for bookmarks and I started designing my own. I love sharing these bookmarks with kids of all ages. Everyone likes to color and this is a fun, simple coloring activity.
Simply print our Christmas bookmarks to color and off you go! We like to print ours on heavy card stock. I find that when you color the bookmarks, the heavier card stock makes the colors more vibrant.
Once the bookmarks are coloured you can cut them out and use them as is or add another layer. We adhere our bookmarks to a colorful sheet of cardstock to create a bright border around the bookmark. This makes them even sturdier. However, you could totally print these on regular printer paper, color, cut out, and use them.
That's why I love these - they're totally versatile. Christmas coloring bookmarks are a fun activity for a classroom, a rainy day, or a quiet activity to keep the kids occupied during the holidays.
This year I am going to add these bookmarks to our advent calendars. And, the girls are going to color a set for their grandparents. What a sweet grandparent Christmas gift. How will you use your Christmas bookmarks this year?
