Halloween is a fun time of the year for crafts and activities. Over the years I have shared many free printable Halloween games and activities. I especially loved creating all of the cool Halloween zentangle templates and patterns. This year I wanted to make some simple and creative coloring pages for kids of all ages to enjoy. These Halloween coloring pages are great for everyone.

Coloring pages are an activity that everyone can enjoy. I wanted to pull together silly and spooky Halloween items for these coloring pages. I typically print coloring pages on heavier card stock paper. I prefer card stock because when you color on card stock the color is richer and markers don't typically spread the same way they do on regular printer paper. But, if you are printing these for an entire classroom then using standard printer paper makes perfect sense.

First up is our Halloween Boo Coloring Page. This coloring page is filled with all the iconic Halloween items - a haunted house and a little vampire too.
Then the Halloween Halloween coloring page is all about sillier Halloween items. Like the friendly ghost and
Finally, I wanted to create a coloring page that was more open ended for kids to explore their creativity. So, I designed a blank jack o'lantern coloring page that artists can fill with their own face designs. The open-ended design welcomes everyone to be creative and only be limited by their own imaginations. Will the jack o'lantern be spooky or silly? A monster or a vampire? It's totally up to the artist to decide. I love an open-ended art activity.
How to use our Halloween coloring pages
These coloring pages are great for the classroom - in the home or at a school. They are a fun indoor recess activity - there are plenty of rainy days in October. They are also perfect for a Halloween art period. Have the kids design their jack o'lanterns, name their jack o'lanterns, and then hang the designs up around the classroom.
At home, these coloring pages will come in handy on long road trips. Kids love a pile of coloring pages attached to a clipboard. Use the jack o'lantern coloring page for kids to design your very own jack o'lantern. The design can become the design you eventually carve into your pumpkin for Halloween night. That's fun, right?
No matter how you use these Halloween coloring pages they are sure to fire up the artist's imagination and get everyone in the mood for Halloween!
