Valentine Ideas Blog Hop

By Jen

Welcome to the Valentine's Ideas Blog Hop! We are getting awfully close to Valentine's Day...only one week to go. I love Valentine's Day. A holiday devoted to love, peace and chocolate. I especially love that Valentine's Day is all about making handmade treasures to express your love, or show your appreciation of others. My girls have been hard at work on their Valentine's for their classmates. This is a great opportunity to spend some time chatting about their friends and the funny things that happen in the classroom.
Speaking of handmade treasures, last week my youngest daughter left the schoolyard with a soggy piece of cardboard in her hands. When I said that she had to put the cardboard in the recycling bin when we got home, my daughter said "But, it's my caterpillar. I want to make a caterpillar." I try not to stifle their creativity, so I replied that she had to put it in the basement to dry over night and in the morning I wanted to see this piece of dirty old cardboard transform into a caterpillar.
Ta Da...the Valentine caterpillar!

With scarf (made from toilet paper that she taped over the perforations, to make certain
it didn't rip apart)
Amazing! I love this caterpillar...and so does my daughter.
Now it's time for the blog hop. Feel free to link up or just check out some of the beautiful Valentine Ideas from around the web. If you link up, please grab our button or add a text link back so your readers can find us.
