Funny Thanksgiving Would You Rather Questions for Kids

By Jen

title "thanksgiving would you rather questions" with printable sheet of questions and cartoon turkey

Yes, we definitely can create a funny would you rather game for any time of the year - any holiday and any occasion. We've shared quite the collection of would you rather questions over the years and I couldn't believe that we hadn't made one for Thanksgiving! So, that oversight has been corrected with our Thanksgiving would you rather questions.

Okay, the first thing is first...I am Canadian. If you've been around here any length of time you know that I am Canadian. But, here's a little secret I love a lot of American things (and people). My biggest love is Thanksgiving.

I record the big Thanksgiving Day parade (because we don't get the day off here in Canada) and I watch it every year with my kids. We LOVE watching those giant balloons float down the streets and listening to the Broadway shows that are featured. If you follow my Instagram feed, then you know I have an ongoing love affair with New York City.

Not only do we love the Thanksgiving Day parade, but we also watch the dog show and the football games. And don't get me into all the feelings I have for the food. Seriously.

So, how is it that I hadn't created a would you rather Thanksgiving questions? Not sure. But, thankfully I have one now and it is sure to become an instant favorite for you and your family. Of course, it includes questions about the food, the parade, and football.

Thanksgiving Would You Rather Questions for Families

The first thing you need to do is print off our Thanksgiving would you rather questions. I like to print our questions on cardstock. This way they are a little more durable than using regular printer paper.

Once you have the questions printed, it is time to cut out the questions and put them into something. They would look lovely in a mason jar, sitting in the center of the Thanksgiving table. Or, you could slip one question onto each person's spot at the table.

Here is a sampling of our holiday would you rather questions...

  • Would you rather wear a pumpkin on your head to school/work or wear a turkey costume to school/work?
  • Would you rather be in NYC to watch the BIG parade live or watch it in the comfort of your own home?
  • Would you rather cook Thanksgiving dinner or have to clean up after Thanksgiving dinner?

So, how do you play would you rather games?

It's super easy. Simply ask the question and then each person has to defend the choice they make. You might be surprised at people's answers and the reasons behind the choices they make. That's what makes this game so much fun! Especially for large family gatherings. Skip the political debates this year and have fun instead.

These questions are also fun for teachers to use in the classroom and as conversation starters at meetings during the holidays. I also love to pop the questions into my kids' lunch boxes. They can have silly discussions with their classmates.

Now, the only question is - what will you decide?
