You might recall that Santa's reindeer like playing reindeer games. And, we love the idea of creating a silly, simple reindeer game. So, what is a roll a reindeer game? Well, it's a super simple activity that kids of all ages will enjoy. Make it as basic or complicated as you like. It can be played with multiple players or a kid can play solo. There can be a prize at the end of the game or leave the joy of figuring out how to make a reindeer as the prize.

How to Play Roll a Reindeer Game

You will need...

1 die
scissors
pencil

The first step is to print off our two-page roll a Roll a Reindeer Game. Once you have the pages printed out it is time to use the scissors to cut out all of the reindeer pieces. You can do this ahead of time or make it part of the game - each player has to cut out their pieces.

Now you should have two sets of eyes, two noses, two scarves, two smiles, four ears, and four antlers. Once everything is all cutout, it is time to play the game.

Okay, you are going to need to supply the 1 die. The players will take turns rolling the die. Refer to the chart to determine what part of the reindeer's face can be placed on the head. For instance, roll a 2 and you can add the eyes to the reindeer head. The game will go back and forth until one player has finished rolling a complete reindeer.

Don't forget to give your reindeer a name (yes, the reindeer has a red nose) but what will your reindeer's name be? If you like, you can use a glue stick to secure the faces in place...or keep on playing.

I love how simple this game is. It can be played over and over again. It makes a fun stocking stuffer or advent calendar activity for kids. Bring it out as a fun Christmas party game for the kids - at home or in the classroom. The reindeer face pieces could be laminated and then they would last for years, in a classroom.

When will you play your roll a reindeer game?
