Outdoor Play Party : Gifts Ideas for Outdoor Loving Kids

By Jen

It's time for the Outdoor Play Party...technically yesterday was the day...but we're doing it on Saturday this week. It's the holidays, things are a little crazy around here. This week we are super excited to introduce you to our newest co-host Making Boys Men. I love Making Boys Men and have featured many of their posts in previous Outdoor Play Parties. Be sure to hop on over and check out their blog and Facebook page. As for today's party, with Christmas fast approaching I thought I would share 5 of my favourite gifts for kids who love the outdoors. Here we go...

Skipping Rope - Who doesn't love skipping? What a fun way to spend some time outside. With a little imagination a skipping rope can be transformed into a limbo rope, shaped into a lake filled with pretend crocodiles or it can become a death defying tight rope.
How to Make Big Bubbles - Okay, this kit is all about making BIG bubbles. The beauty of bubbles is pure magic to children. The best thing about bubbles is they can be played with in your own backyard or taken to the park...anywhere.
Rain Pants - Rain pants will help your kids enjoy the outdoors, even when the rain is falling. Keeping kids comfotrable is the key to outdoor play success.
Sleigh/sled/toboggan/wagon - Isn't this sleigh beautiful? Whether you live somewhere with snow or not a sled or a wagon are amazing ways to help kids enjoy getting around outside.
Outdoor Explorer Kit - This includes a magnifying glass, sketch pad, headlamp, backpack and more. Everything kids need to have an outdoor adventure.
Bonus Gift - Even with all of these gift items the most important thing you can give your outdoor loving kid is the gift of spending time outside with them. How parents interact and enjoy the outdoors has a major impact on their children. So, throw on your rain pants, strap on your headlamp and grab the skipping rope...it's time to get outdoors!

Now it's time for you to link up your outdoor play activities. Please, feel free to grab our button and place it in your site's side bar, or add a link back to our party. We will happily share your post on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. By contributing your post to this linky party you are giving permission for an image and link to your post to be republished if you are featured.
