I mean, one of my kids' favourite summer activities is reading book after book after book. And, you can't read a good book without a great bookmark...right? Enter our colouring bookmarks. These printable summer bookmarks celebrate everything we love about summer...the beach, the food and the fun!

I love that everyone and anyone can personalize the bookmarks. This is a fantastic summer craft for tweens to make and share with their friends!

The first step is to print off our printable summer bookmarks. We printed our bookmarks on white card stock. The cardstock provides a nice smooth surface for colouring and is a little more durable than regular printer paper. But, you can totally use whatever you have at home.

Once you have printed off the bookmarks it is time to get creative. Use your colouring supplies to bring life to the colouring bookmarks. We used pencil crayons for our bookmarks, but you could use markers, crayons or even paint. The only limit is your imagination.

Once the bookmarks have been coloured in it's time to cut them out. Use your scissors to cut out the bookmarks. Now you can use the bookmarks as they are. We like to add another punch of colour with the addition of the second sheet of cardstock.

Use double-sided tape to adhere the bookmark to a sheet of cardstock. Cut a border of the colourful cardstock around the bookmark.

There you have it, a colourful bookmark to pop inside your favourite summer books. These bookmarks make a great gift for friends - colour them or gift the blank bookmarks with a set of pencil crayons.

Which one do you like more? Are you totally into the Beach Vibes or all those summer eats!?
