Printable Garden Bookmarks to Color

title "gardening books to print and color" with printable sheet of garden bookmarks

Spring has arrived and it is time to get in the garden! To celebrate the joy of gardening I have created these printable garden bookmarks for you to color. We love making and sharing bookmarks to print and color. We have shared so many different designs over the years and I think this might be one of my favorite sets.

Everyone loves coloring - adults, kids, teens, everyone. And, I don't know about you but I also love gardening. I had a lot of fun making these bookmarks and I hope you enjoy them. I wanted to celebrate everything about gardening. So, I've made a veggie garden bookmark, a flower garden bookmark, a "get in the garden" bookmark, and even one celebrating all the creepy crawly bugs that gardeners rely on.

Printable Garden Bookmarks to Color

pencil crayons

First up, you will need to print our gardening bookmarks. I always prefer printing our bookmarks on bright and white cardstock. This way they are a little more durable and the pencil crayon colors are always a little brighter. However, you could use regular printer paper and that would work just fine. Whatever you have on hand.

Once you have the bookmarks printed you can either set about coloring them straight away or cut them individual strips first. If you are using these bookmarks in the classroom you will want to have individual bookmarks for each student in the class to color.

Now, it's time to color the garden bookmarks. Use whatever whatever you like to color the bookmarks. I always like using colored pencil crayons, but crayons and markers would be great too. When the coloring is done the bookmarks can be used as they are. However, I like to adhere the bookmarks to another piece of cardstock. Cut a colorful piece of cardstock a little larger than the bookmark. Then, use a few strips of double-sided tape to adhere the colored bookmark to the strip of colorful cardstock. I like the added pop of colour and again, this helps make the bookmarks a little stronger. Alternatively, you could laminate the bookmarks.

HOW TO USE YOUR COLOURING BOOKMARKS

These bookmarks make a great gift for kids or adults. Gift a new book, the printed bookmarks, and a set of pencil crayons. Or, I know that Grandma and Grandpa would love to receive a bookmark their grandkids have colored. And, as I said earlier these bookmarks are a fun classroom art activity. A creative way to encourage kids to read.
