School is winding down where we live. The girls have a few more weeks to go...but everyone is quickly falling into a summertime state of mind. Which means that folks are busy putting together their summertime to-do lists. I don't know about you, but our summertime to-do list is always FILLED with outdoor summer play activities. The last Outdoor Play Party was filled with a great selection of posts that we are hoping to try out this summer. Here's a few of the posts we loved from the last party.
1. Making tree faces from Kids in the Garden.
2. And Next Comes L's outdoor chalk keyboard.
3. Lovely boats made from branches over at Free Rangers
4. Spend time playing at the beach, just like The Golden Gleam.
5. Explore butterflies with Rockabye Butterfly.
Today we are throwing an outdoor birthday party for my eldest daughter and one of her bestfriends. Her birthday isn't until August, but we thought it might be fun to throw a party during the school year. So, despite the rainy forecast, we are gathering up the supplies for our outdoor challenges party. The kids are going to be grouped together and have to face 10 different challenges. It should be fun...and maybe a little rainy. I'll let you know how it goes. For now, we would love to see how you have been playing outdoors. What is the weather like where you live? Is school done for the year? If you were featured this week, go ahead and grab our “Featured at the Outdoor Play Party” button for your site. Feel free to grab our button and place it in your site’s side bar, or add a link back to our party. We will happily share your post on Facebook, Twitter and the Outdoor Play Party Pinterest page. Happy early birthday to your little girl. I'm sure the day will be very special, even if it does rain. In fact that might make it even more memorable. Excited to link-up our outdoor play post.
