Happy Halloween

eat, drink and be scaryHappy Halloween everyone. The day has finally arrived. All the sewing and gluing of costumes is over. Phew! I didn't know if we were going to make it this year...but we did. My kids are in that overly excited, so they are going to be all complainy mood...awesome. I think they didn't get a solid night's sleep, what with all the anticipation. I, on the other hand didn't get a solid night's sleep because I'm sick. Blah. Nothing like being sick on Halloween, on a rainy and cold Halloween. I'll be surviving on many, many cups of tea today. Right now I am off to empty the pumpkin, roast some pumpkin seeds and get ready for the kids' lunch...and changing into their costumes  for this afternoon. Every year I gain a new appreciation for my parents. Remember how different Halloween was when you were the kid and not the parent...it rocked! Although, I must admit I am really looking forward to seeing my little owl and my "so-so" witch (a witch who can't decide if she's good or bad) all dressed up and ready to go. Wherever you are and whatever you do - I hope you have a fun...and not too scary...Halloween!
