Cheers! It's April!

By Jen

Well, we made it! I know technically Spring started in March...but let's be honest...it doesn't really start until April. We made it through another long winter. This year it seemed to start in November! At least in Toronto that is. Welcome to rainy days, mixed with sunshine and the smell of...well mud...and things growing. April this year is jam packed with exciting things to do. Here's my run down of places to go and people to see.
Earth Day - "What is Earth Day Mommy?" simple answer "The day we celebrate and say thank you to the Earth"...go out and hug a tree!
Toronto Zoo - Party for the Planet - Celebrate Earth Day and Easter at the zoo...with animals!!
Easter Parade - If you live in Toronto and haven't been to the Toronto Lions Annual Easter Parade...what are you waiting for?! Come on down to Queen Street, East on April 24th (starts @ 2pm)...be prepared to have chocolate easter eggs thrown at you!! Fun?!
Sprockets - Toronto International Film Festival - Apr 5-17th - 80 films from 27 countries...for kids! Must see for budding film makers
ROM - the ROM Water Exhibition has opened (runs until Sept 5th) - 19 interactive activities, 6 video stations and 12 live animal stations...all about water!
Green Living Show - April 15-17...visit the EcoKids Zone...learn about living a greener life
Spring Cleaning - the time has come...posts to come
Clean the garden - patience is paying off...gardening tips to come
Royal Wedding - April 29th, all eyes will be on the telly...I know we'll be watching...I have fond memories of watching Lady Di walk down the aisle many, many years ago
Decorate an Easter Tree - what's an Easter tree...check out next Monday's post
Grab the rainboots and get outside...it's April and the May flowers are getting ready to bloom!
