Happy Spring!

Usually when the season flips over from winter to spring we are dreaming of warm breezes and the smell of green grass. This year it is a whole different story. I'm not sure if the groundhogs were right or not, but spring is definitely here. Fingers crossed this isn't a trend, just an anomaly.

To celebrate spring the girls and I went for a nature walk, searching out the sure signs of spring in our busy city neighbourhood. When heading out on a nature walk in the city we make certain we have our camera and our scooters (well, the girls' scooters). I love encouraging my girls to walk, in all types of weather. But, there is something about a walk in the spring; birds chirping, sun beaming and kids giggling. Here are a few of  the things we spotted that assure us that Spring is here.

the elephant planter is out!
It might sound strange, but when we see that elephant planter out on the porch of our neighbour's house we know that the warmer weather has arrived. It is so nice to see it's cheery face as we walk along the sidewalk.
Do you have any sure signs of spring that are unique to your neighbourhood? When the weather changes, what do you see when you go out for a walk?
Happy Spring Everyone!
