We all know those reindeer love playing games. And, you know what, everyone likes playing reindeer games. We have created and played many different variations of this hide and seek game. On Easter, we play an Easter Bunny hide and seek game. On birthdays, we play different themed hide and seek games. This time around, I have created a reindeer hide and seek game. Let's get to it!

Reindeer Hide and Seek Game

The object of the game

The object of the game is to collect as many reindeer from around the house, room, classroom, or office as you can. The person who collects the most reindeer is the winner.

How to set up the reindeer hide and seek game

Start by printing our reindeer hide and seek game sheet. I printed our game sheet on cardstock. The cardstock made the reindeer a little more sturdy. If you happen to have access to a laminator, you could laminate the reindeer, too. Once you have printed the sheet, it's time to cut out all the little reindeer characters.

Feel free to print as many pages as you like. If you are playing this game with a large group you may want to print multiple copies, so each player has there are plenty of reindeer to find. When the reindeer are cut out, it is time to do the hiding.

The host of the party will want to hide the reindeer before playing the game. Use rolled loops of painter's tape or washi tape to adhere the reindeer to your walls, on picture frames, anywhere and everywhere you can hide them in your space. Using a low-tack tape means you won't damage your walls or wherever you stick the reindeer. Again, depending on the age of the people playing, you can make the hiding as easy or hard as you like. For younger kids, hide the reindeer at their level or where they can easily reach. Remember, the object of the game is to collect as many reindeer as you can, so participants will be reaching for the reindeer.

How to Play Reindeer Hide and Seek Game

Once you have hidden all the reindeer, it is time to invite the player to play. You can set a timer for the game, or simply say "by the end of the party". There are no rules, other than once you reach for a reindeer, it is your reindeer. No need to fight (thus print lots of reindeer, so everyone can find them).

Once the timer buzzes, the game is done, and it's time to count up each player's reindeer. A winner is announced, and it's up to you if there is a prize for the winner. Maybe a fun reindeer stuffed toy? Maybe a delicious reindeer cookie? Or, maybe just the knowledge that they won?!

We have played this game many times over the years, and everyone always has a good time. Inevitably, reindeer will be missed, and you will be finding reindeer hidden around your house for weeks to come. That's all part of the fun!

What do you think? Will you play reindeer hide and seek at your next Christmas party?
