Printable Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunts

free printable THANKSGIVING scavenger hunts - one to color and one in color

Okay, let's have some fun! I've created some great printable Thanksgiving activities over the years, but I have had a Thanksgiving scavenger hunt on my to-do list for a while now. And, I've made two different hunts - one that you can color and one that you print in color. There's something for everyone.

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I love a day that is dedicated to food and family. That's what Thanksgiving is to me. In Canada, Thanksgiving is tied to the harvest season. In America, Thanksgiving is tied to football and parades. What's not to love?!

First up is the coloring page Thanksgiving scavenger hunt. For this one, you will print off a page for everyone who is going to play. Everyone will need colored pencils as well. As players find the different Thanksgiving items on the "hunt" they need to color in the items.

This version is great for the classroom. Teachers can set up a space with Thanksgiving toys or images, and students search for the items. Again, this one is all about coloring in the items when you find them.

For this next version, you will need a color printer. Print a sheet for each player. When I print colored activity sheets, I like to print on cardstock. The color always looks brighter on a heavier weight paper. But, if all you have on hand is regular printer paper, go for it. Provide each player with a Thanksgiving pencil. Again, players must search for the items on the hunt. When they find an item, they simply cross out the item.

How to Play with a Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt

How you play is up to you. As I said earlier, these are fun for a classroom setting. I also like to keep seasonal scavenger hunts in my car. They are great to bring out on a long road trip. These Thanksgiving hunts are fun to hand out as guests arrive for your Thanksgiving party. Everyone has to be ready to spot someone having a nap on the couch! And maybe when they spot the dirty dishes, they will help clean them?

You can crown the "winner" as the first player to find all of the items. Maybe the winner gets to pick the biggest slice of pie?! Or, you could have a small Thanksgiving prize ready to go.

No matter how you use our Thanksgiving scavenger hunts, you are sure to have a fun time.
