Delicious Memories with Dairy Queen

By Jen

Who doesn't have a Dairy Queen® memory? When I was a kid a trip to Dairy Queen® was a major event. My father would announce that we were going and everyone would come running from wherever they were. Our entire family would cram into the car and head to our local...about 20 minutes away...Dairy Queen®. The ice cream treat of choice was always a chocolate dipped ice cream cones. Classic.

As I grew up, I came to enjoy the pleasures of driving myself to Dairy Queen®. When my then boyfriend, now husband, were first dating we would spend many a summer nights at Dairy Queen®. By then our local location was actually local, and the treat of choice was the Blizzard®. Classic. We spent a lot of time sitting, eating and chatting about the sorts of things teenagers chat about...music, our crazy families and our dreams for the future. All that while devouring our yummy Blizzards.

I guess this is why I am excited to share the great deal that is going on right now. When you purchase a box of specially marked General Mills cereal you get 2 amazing coupons...

* Between April 1 ~ July 31st redeem the Orange Julius coupon at any Dairy Queen® location for free small drink *

* Between May 1 ~ May 31st redeem the Dairy Queen® coupon for a free Blizzard *

Seriously, 2 coupons in each box...fabulous! Do you have a great memory of visiting Dairy Queen®? What about Orange Julius®? I know when I was a teenager the Orange Julius® shop was the first place we would visit when we went to the shopping mall on a Saturday. Share your memories here or on my Facebook page. I'd love to hear your stories. My husband and I still LOVE going to Dairy Queen® for a Blizzard® and a chat. Now we love the opportunity to make new memories with our little family.

Disclosure ~ I am participating in the Life Made Delicious Ambassador Program by Mom Central Canada on behalf of General Mills. I received compensation as a thank you for participating and sharing my honest opinion. The opinions on this blog are my own.
