I remember when the game "Headbandz" first came out. I was a teenager and it was super popular. Playing Headbands is what inspired me to make this game. We would strap those words to our heads and have so much fun trying to guess who or what the card said.

Christmas Who Am I Game?

The first step is to download and print our Christmas Who Am I Game. It is best to print the sheets on cardstock, this way they are more durable. You could even laminate them if you happen to have access to a laminator.

For our Christmas Who Am I game I've included all the iconic Christmas characters - Santa, Rudolph, the Grinch, and more. The characters are printed in green. While the Christmas objects - gingerbread house, Santa's sleigh, candy cane, and more are printed in red. I've also included one page of blank cards so you can use a marker to add any of your favourite holiday items and characters that I may have missed.

How to Play Christmas Who Am I?

After you've printed the Christmas Who Am I? game cards you have a couple of choices for how to play the game. You can use a piece of fabric elastic or a piece of ribbon to tie the cards to the player's forehead. A 24" piece of fabric elastic tied with a knot should fit around most people's heads. You could have a shorter piece for littler kids and one for older kids and adults. Again, you could use a piece of ribbon, that might not hold as tightly, but it would work. If you don't have any elastic or ribbon, the player can hold the card at their forehead or place it infront of them...facing away from them. They key is they cannot see what or who is on the card.

Okay, now that you have the cards printed and the elastic ready to go it's time to play. Shuffle the cards and place them face down in one pile...combining the who and what cards together. This game can be played in teams or as individuals. If playing in teams, alternate between teams, with one person on each team guessing at a time.

The first player draws a card, without looking at the face of the card. Use the elastic to attach the card to their forehead. The elastic should be across the middle of the card - securing it in place. Once the card is in place the player has to ask "yes" or "no" questions to figure out who or what is on their card. The other team, or all the other players, answer the questions.

You can either use a timer - each player has 1 minute - or you can limit the number of questions - each player has 10 questions. Players will want to ask questions like...

  • Am I a person?
  • Am I an animal?
  • Can you eat me?
  • Am I a character in a book?

If after the predetermined time or number of questions, they have not guessed their character they don't get a point. Guess the character or item and you get the point.

Again, it's up to you if you want to play to a certain number of points - the first team to 5 points wins - or if you'd prefer playing your way through all of the cards and seeing who wins the most points.

This is a super fun game to play with people of all ages. Little kids to grandparents love shouting out questions and trying to figure out WHO AM I?! You could bring this game out every Christmas and have a continuing competition.
