Date Night Giveaway - Toronto FOOD & WINE Festival

Date night...the myth parents of young children hear so much about, but rarely get to experience. Well, I have a fabulous giveaway today that will give you the perfect date night, or date day, experience. Put your babysitter on hold, so that you can attend the inaugural Toronto FOOD & WINE Festival at the Evergreen Brick Works, September 18th to 20th. I know that every busy parent has limited kid-free time, which is what makes the Toronto FOOD & WINE festival the perfect outing...food, wine, celebrity chefs, food, wine...need I say more? toronto FOOD & WINE logo

The Food & Wine - Take a stroll through the Grand Tasting Pavillon, presented by PC Black Label. Take in the flavours of local restaurants, wine, beer and spirits in the Pavillon. With 130 stations, the Grand Tasting Pavillion is a foodie's dream come true.

Celebrity Chef Sightings - After all that strolling and eating, take a seat with your sweetheart at the Meile Celebrity Stage. Watch as talented chefs from around the world demonstrate some of their favourite dishes. A few of the celebrity chefs attending the Food & Wine Festival include; Chuck Hughes, Curtis Stone, Gail Simmons, Roger Mooking and more. celebrity stage food & wine festival

Look in a Book - Be inspired by the delicious food and the celebrity chefs' stunning recipes and head over to the Young Welcome Centre for the giant cook book sale. Toronto's legendary Cookbook Store and All the Best Fine Foods have teamed up to host a fantastic cookbook shop on site. Pick up a copy of the cookbook you've been searching for, or experiment with something totally new.

Taste Canada Cooks the Books Competition - Do you love a good cooking competition? Pull up a chair at the Taste Canada Cooks the Books Competition and watch as culinary students from across Canada recreate recipes from Canadian cookbooks...mentored by the cookbook authors. The competition takes place over the first two days of the Festival and culminates with the Taste Canada - The Food Writing Awards.

Chef's Talk Series - Every wonder how your favourite chef got her start? The Chef's Talk Series is an opportunity for celebrity chef's to share their inspiring stories in an intimate setting.

The Toronto Food & Wine Festival Giveaway

Now the part you have been waiting for. The lovely folks at the Toronto FOOD & WINE Festival have provided me with 2 general admission tickets to giveaway to one lucky winner. The tickets will give the winner access to the Grand Tasting Pavillion and some celebrity chef events. 

To enter, simply leave a comment below and let me know what part of the festival you are most looking forward to, and "spending some time away from the kids" is a totally legitimate answer. 

Contest technical details...

  • prize is a pair of general admission tickets to the Toronto Food & Wine Festival taking play September 18, 19 & 20.
  • one winner will be selected at random
  • winner will be notified via email
  • winner will receive tickets via email 2 weeks before the festival

    Besides the wine tastings?
    The cook book store sounds fun! It's the section I always gravitate towards in Indigo! All those delicious looking pictures.. *drool*

    I'm new to Toronto and want to experience everything the city has to offer. Plus, since my boyfriend LOVES to cook but has a limited repertoire, this will be a great date night for us!
