How to Build a Halloween Veggie Tray
Here are a few tips for making a super awesome Halloween veggie platter. First, pick a great base or tray. I like using a large wooden cutting board for my trays. However, I have also used decorative baking sheets. The edge of a baking sheet can help hold everything in place. I keep my large cutting board specifically for fruit and veggie trays, so it is always clean and ready to use.
My next tip is to choose a fun and easy design. Simple designs make the best trays. For example, a pumpkin is super simple and easy to bring to life.
Finally, if you need to transport your tray be sure to build it where you are serving it. Especially if it is a more complicated design, I know I said keep it simple. Cut all the veggies ahead of time, make a plan, and seal everything in air-tight containers. If you absolutely have to build it ahead of time, wrap it tightly with plastic wrap and store it in the fridge until you are ready to serve. Keep those veggies crisp.
Okay, let's get on with the Halloween veggie trays.
