So, tomorrow I am off to take care of me. It isn't a glamorous day at the spa or a day shopping. Nope, it's time for my colonoscopy. Due to my mom's history with Colon Cancer I am required to have a scope done every 3 years. To be honest this is perfectly fine by me.
When my daughters asked why I have to have a colonoscopy I explained that sometimes you can't see parts of the human body easily. Unfortunately, some areas of the body can quietly grow problems for years and years. Sometimes by the time we know there is a problem, it is too late.
I share this with you because I know that there are issues that you have been thinking about and haven't taken care of. It might be that you keep meaning to check into your own family health history. Maybe your due for your annual physical...two years ago. Or perhaps you've just been feeling a little "off." I know this about you, because it is true of me too.
Maybe today is the day you call the doctor's office and make that all important appointment.
