What landed on the kitchen counter this week – June 25 to June 29

The last week of school. Done for the summer. It’s been pretty busy around here, and I expect it will only get busier. Here is what you might have missed from this week…

Monday we felt like starting our patriotic Canada Day celebrations a little early with a recipe for the perfect Canadian all beef burger.
Tuesday we entered the world and artwork of Eric Carle. We celebrated his birthday and created our very own Carle-ish birthday cards.
It was mommy confession time on Wednesday, feeling a little uncertain about the arrival of the end of school.
We sat down and came up with some fantastic Summer House Rules on Thursday…hopefully they help to increase the fun and decrease the whining.
There is still time for our Canadian readers to enter to win a Fibre 1 and Nature Valley prize pack.
If you are new to the blog and are looking for more great ways to connect with your kids, why not follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ or Pinterest.

Have a great weekend…and an awesome Canada Day!
