Father’s day is just a couple of days away! The girls have been working on their gifts all week long. Last year we made a jar of BBQ sauce for dad and I fully intended to do something edible again this year. However, sometimes you have to follow your heart and create what comes naturally. The other day as my youngest daughter and I sat playing with rocks on the beach an idea popped into my head. Rock art! The back story is that over the last few months the girls have been stuck saying “Peace yo! You rock!” and flashing a peace sign. They say it ALL THE TIME! Why, we don’t know? But, it makes my husband and me laugh…a lot. So, here is what the girls made…
Now, on to the card that will accompany this gift. We were inspired by a picture we saw on Pinterest. A sweet hand/heart card. This one is super easy.
I love these gifts. The girls really enjoyed making them. They were very cautious when using the permanent markers…they never get to use the permanent markers. If your child isn’t up for the challenge of permanent markers, go ahead and use paint. This simple rock will rest on my husband’s desk at work…and I imagine that it will make him laugh every time he looks at it. What better gift to give!

Love little hands
I love your heart hands card. But we have a big rock waiting in our garden for something to happen to it and that idea is just perfect. Thanks for sharing.
These are wonderful crafts! Love both the hand card and the rock. Adorable!!
